Jody has been actively involved in the field of behavioral health for more than 25 years in various capacities. He began his experience in mental health working collaboratively with consumers and staff after attaining supervisory positions.  He has a passion for learning, leadership, development, and serving in his profession.

He completed post-graduate studies with Caldwell College in advanced counselor training, after completing a Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ramapo College. He has worked within the field of addiction since 1996 and became a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LDADC) in 2005. He also completed biblical studies with North Carolina School of Theology, earning an Associates and bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. In addiction to his work in behavioral health, Jody is an ordained pastor.

Jody has been instrumental in enhancing programs in the provision of exceptional services, having managed residential and outpatient programs. He was an Adjunct Professor with Essex County College and Atlantic-Cape Community College in their addiction counselor training programs. He continues to participate in bi-annual retreats as a professional lecturer and coordinates spiritual retreats through the year. He is a certified clinical supervisor and currently serves as the Clinical Director of Sunrise House Treatment Center. He has been married for twenty-six years and has two children: a 24-year-old son and a 20-year-old daughter.
