Michael has been in the substance abuse treatment field for 25 years and has over 13 years experience as a supervisor/administrator in every level of care from outpatient to detox. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in forensic psychology with a minor in alcohol studies and then completed a Master of Arts in forensic psychology both John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. He also completed a second master’s at William Paterson University for Professional Mental Health Counseling in 2021. He utilizes primarily a cognitive-behavioral approach with client-centered motivational interviewing at its heart. Michael is a talented and diverse therapist who is able to engage a broad range of clients with multiple and complex issues.  He is a New Jersey licensed drug and alcohol counselor, as well as certified clinical supervisor. His hobbies include martial arts with a focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and karate.
