Finding the right treatment facility to help you or a loved one reach recovery is a difficult task. From detox to aftercare planning, you want to know that you’ll be challenged to confront your addiction, but also treated in a kind, compassionate, and safe way. For many, Sunrise House has been the right choice.
Why Should You Choose Us for Your Care?
Sunrise House is proud to have a clinical staff made up of master’s-level licensed or license-eligible therapists. Sunrise House offers a wide variety of programs—including cognitive behavioral therapy—because we know that every patient has different treatment needs. We also offer a variety of specialized groups including ones that are gender specific, anger management groups, and sessions that focus on those with co-occurring disorders.
When addiction treatment if portrayed in movies or on TV, we often see residential treatment facilities where you would live for a period of time during the beginning stages of recovery. Sunrise House does offer inpatient treatment, but you should also know about our community-based intensive outpatient program (IOP). For many, responsibilities won’t allow a full-time treatment program, so our IOP is the next big thing. You can come for treatment Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:45am to 11:45am and 6:00pm to 9:15pm.
For those who need it, Sunrise House offers medication-assisted treatment, also known as MAT. Depending on the route of treatment, our doctors will distribute the needed amount of medications to patients. This can ease the worry for those with co-occurring disorders and other health concerns while they are in treatment.
A strong support group like family is important to a person’s recovery. Sunrise House knows this and makes it a central tenant of many of our patient’s recovery. Our facility holds a family day program every Saturday as well as every other Tuesday. These allow your family members to become fully engaged in the recovery process, and know that the steps you are taking in recovery are in the right direction.
Our nursing staff primarily consists of registered nurses with years of experience treating substance abuse. During medical detox, our nursing team provides 24/7 medical oversight to our clients to ensure safety during their entire stay. Outside of our nursing team, many members of our staff are also in recovery, which brings an unmatched level of understanding and compassion to the treatment journey.
Our Sunrise House treatment center is one of many facilities that operates under American Addiction Centers, our parent company. But we are unique in that we’ve been delivering excellent care Sussex County for over 35 years. Sunrise House takes our role in the community very seriously, and is honored to serve the region.
Our 22-acre campus has many areas to enjoy outdoor activities during your down time with us. On every other Sunday, Sunrise House even offers an off-site hiking tour on one of the many hiking trails near the treatment center. In the fall, when leaves start to turn, the entire campus and surrounding areas become very majestic, adding to the calming feeling our grounds can provide.
Every Thursday night, we have our “Enjoy Life Again” concert series. Sunrise House knows that reaching and maintaining recovery may very well be one of the hardest things you or your loved one has to do in their lifetime. To bring levity to the journey, our concert series promotes having fun again while being sober. A sober band performs the first and third Thursdays of the series, while the second Thursday is reserved for a sober comedian. The fourth Thursday of each month is an open mic night, allowing both staff and patients to perform.
We’ve talked about Sunrise House’s beautiful grounds, but not our main building. Many of our group therapies, medical needs, and living quarters are located in what used to be a Franciscan monastery.
For many, a big roadblock to getting treatment for addiction is the cost. Luckily, Sunrise House is an in-network facility with many of the major insurance companies. Before you make your decision, you can easily, and at no cost, verify your benefits.
Sunrise House Treatment Center and its parent company, American Addiction Centers, can only be as successful as we are—63% of our patients report being sober at 12 months post-treatment—with patients and alumni who are committed to their treatment and recovery.
Each patient who comes to treatment at Sunrise House helps make us who we are.
We believe in you and are here to help you and your family.
